Q & A

What is DST?

Our patented Dynamic Sole Technology (DST) creates two contact points and is the perfect sole platform for consistent adjusted lie angle. This prevents the putter from rocking (as putters with a convex sole will do), and creates a solid setup each time you set the putter down.

Why is it important?

A consistent setup is the most important step for consistent putting. Most putters off the shelf are 71 or 72 degrees at the lie angle. 90% of the putters we custom fit fall between 65-69 degrees at the lie angle. A custom fit matters.

Can it really improve my score?

Yes. Consistent setup produces consistent putting. Since 50% of golf is putting, consistent putting is vital to lowering your score.

How long does it take to adjust the Ontic?

Adjustment to the lie angle can be made in under a minute. Changing the head weight is also easy and fast.

Is it hard to learn?

No. Instructions are included with each putter.

Why buy an ONTIC putter?

Custom fitting your putter is vital to a consistent putt. With ONTIC, there is no need to have a pro-shop make these adjustments. You can custom fit your unique lie angle and head weight in minutes at the course or at home.

Why is custom fitting important?

The industry has recognized the importance of customizing Drivers and Putters to fit the individual for several years. Driver technology has been the main focus, yet over 50% of the game is putting. Putting is the great equalizer. One bad putt can mean the difference between winning and losing. Why buy a $300-$400 Driver, and skimp on the putter, the most important club in the bag?

K. Perry stated "Just three (3) putts per tournament can mean the difference from being in the top ten, or winning.  Just three (3) putts!"
